Reflexology:

I have taken continuing education from Karen Ball, Kirsten Toth (while in school) and Ariela Grodner

Most clients with a stressful lifestyle tend to benefit from Reflexology, as it often leads to deep relaxation and more complete breathing. Such better breathing helps those suffering from anxiety.

Those that receive Foot Reflexology to balance the hormonal system have reported unexpected success in a consistent manner.

One client with new phantom pain told me the pain went away and remained gone after a customized Reflexology treatment.

 

Usui Reiki:

I am an Usui Reiki Master / Teacher by a direct line from Dr. Usui

Most will experience a more profound relaxation than with other bodywork. Some go on a visual journey or have an epiphany. Overall clients are more relaxed and find this treatment rather potent.

Reiki is not intentionally used unless the client requests it for a session, a stance consistent with the ethics of this tradition.

 

Ethical Thai Yoga / Massage:

I am a fully certified (108 CEU) Thai Yogi by Ariela Grodner

There are many misconceptions on what Thai Massage or Thai Yoga is. Imagine a sort of assisted Yoga, customized to your range of motion, need for mental relaxation, and constitution. Circulation tends to be improved, similar to other bodywork. Some of the techniques are used in other sessions because of their effectiveness. There is also overlap with Reflexology: try Thai Foot Reflexology!

 

Ayurvedic and Energy Medicince: Does it really work?

At a time when many have already experienced beneficial aspects of energy medicine perhaps even without knowing it, including acupuncture / Chinese medicine, and nerve stimulators as now becoming more available by conventional medicine and can be internal or external, perhaps we can agree that there is at least some empirical evidence for there to be more than a placebo effect at work. As a trained engineer and scientist, skepticism in the light of missing evidence or scientifically accepted correlation is still ingrained in me, but I am open to being wrong or not having enough information. I have found that if administered properly, there are no harmful side effects, and that recipients do feel at least subjectively "better" than before the session. It may have lasting effects, leading to that person welcoming some beneficial change and overcoming ambivalence. By and large, we have found that it will raise awareness and most recipients will experience better quality sleep. A nice deal if you think how many people sleep too little and rather poorly, and that sleep very much affects many bodily functions.

So I presented above only treatment effects I have witnessed and that my clients told me they experienced based on my treatments.

These modalities are often the best, or even the only ones that can be offered to clients with certain acute or chronic health conditions.
