Teaching Philosophy: Competence, confidence, and comfort
My concept is different from most class structures and has the following benefits to you:
A nurturing and professional environment:
classes and groups are small, and you can learn on a one on one basis
Attention to detail:
we will fine tune your skills so you can meet your potential
Sounds like Old School? Read on.
Imitation alone, so often found to be the learning environment in large impersonal classes, automatically caps the skills you will leave with.
What it takes beyond great training?
Basic talent and interest
Suitable health and fitness
Dedication and discipline to keep improving
Exposure to like-minded, supportive people
Consistency and
Practice, practice, practice (perfect practice makes perfect).
Team Diving in class and guiding:
I allow up to 3 divers in most classes with the exception of gas / trimix dives where I only allow 2 divers. This ensures everybody gets the most attention, and overall safety, yet also encourages team skills development with peers.
